Test Conditions (LED Indicators)
The faceplate includes a reference chart for the three indicator lamps (Green and Red):
- Correct: Two lamps on the right are lit.
- Missing Earth: Only the center lamp is lit.
- Live Earth Reverse: Left and center lamps are lit.
- Live Neutral Reverse: Left and right lamps are lit.
- Missing Neutral: Only the right lamp is lit.
- Live Missing: No lamps are lit.
How to Use
- Insert the UT07A-UK directly into the socket to be tested.
- Ensure the socket switch is turned on.
- Observe the three LED indicators on the front panel.
- Compare the lighting pattern with the chart printed on the device to determine the wiring status.
- If a fault is detected, disconnect power and consult a qualified electrician.
- Remove the device from the socket once testing is complete.
Important Notes
- This device does not detect the quality of the grounding (resistance); it only confirms the presence of a connection.
- Do not leave the device plugged into a socket for extended periods; it is intended for quick diagnostic checks only.
